Photographer Shares Personal Encounter with Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Highlights Leadership Style

A personal photographer to the Plateau State Governor has shared an account of a personal interaction with Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, describing the governor as a leader who pays attention to the growth and welfare of people around him.

In a post shared online on Tuesday, the photographer, David Thomas recounted an experience that occurred while preparations were ongoing for a recording session with the governor. According to the post, Governor Mutfwang briefly paused during the engagement and mentioned that an award-winning photographer would soon be visiting Jos, adding that the encounter could be beneficial to the photographer’s personal and professional development.

The photographer described the moment as deeply encouraging, noting that the governor, despite the demands of governing a state, took time to think about the personal growth of a member of his team. The post further stated that such actions were consistent with the governor’s character, portraying him as a leader who is attentive to people and their progress.

The photographer also revealed that, through close professional proximity, he has witnessed several acts of support and intervention by the governor that are not publicly known. According to the account, individuals, families, and institutions across the state have benefited from initiatives and interventions carried out quietly by the administration.

While acknowledging that Plateau State still faces challenges and that more is expected from the government, the post noted that the state has made progress compared to previous years. It emphasized that Governor Mutfwang continues to work towards improving the state, following the mandate given to him by the people.

The photographer described it as an honour to document moments in Plateau State’s history under the current administration and confirmed that the anticipated learning experience from the visiting photographer indeed took place, though details were reserved for a later time.

The post concluded with a quote attributed to Gerald Brooks: “When you become a leader, you lose the right to think about yourself.”
