At least 10 passengers have been confirmed dead, while several others were injured in a fatal road accident along the Jos–Bauchi Road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The crash occurred at about 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday, shortly after a military checkpoint, and involved four vehicles, two trailers and two mini buses.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Plateau State Command, confirmed the incident. According to the FRSC Public Education Officer, Peter Y. Longsan, a total of 19 people were involved, including 17 men and two women. Ten adult men died on the spot, while the injured victims were taken to General Hospital Miango, Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), and the Plateau State Specialist Hospital for treatment.

Rescue operations were carried out by FRSC officials, the police, the Ministry of Works, and local residents.
Eight bodies were deposited at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital and Bingham University Teaching Hospital morgues, while two bodies were taken by officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) for burial.
Preliminary findings by the FRSC linked the crash to excessive speed and reckless driving, while further investigations are ongoing.
The FRSC advised road users to avoid night travel, drive within speed limits, and prioritise safety.
