Gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday, December 10, 2025, attacked the K-Vom Divisional Police Headquarters in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, leaving one police officer dead.
The attack, which occurred a few minutes after 12:00midnight, was carried out by yet-to-be-identified assailants who reportedly opened fire on the officer stationed outside for night duty, killing him on the spot.
Community sources in K-Vom confirmed the incident, describing it as “a very sad development”, while calling for increased security presence in the area.
Investigations are said to be underway as security operatives work to track down the perpetrators of the attack.
As of the time of filing this report, the Plateau State Police Command has yet to officially confirm the incident.
