A veteran photographer and brand owner has responded to a post by one @lisa_yelkopba asking photographers in Jos to reduce their price of service else clients may choose to generate photos using Ai prompts…

In response, @Stephanie_Ugwu writes:”One thing I’ve noticed is how many people think photography is about how much you pay a photographer.”

“Truthfully, you cannot pay a photographer enough for creating timeless images of you. You can only appreciate them. Asking for a discount is personal, and it’s your choice. But comparing a photographer’s creative process to A.I?”
That’s not acceptable.
“I keep seeing posts that make it look like A.I is about to take over photography, and honestly, it amuses me, because that photoshoot process the experience, the emotions, the connection, the laughter, the story that’s what A.I wants to steal from you.”
A.I can do a lot, but let’s be honest…That cloth A.I puts on you is it your cloth? That hairstyle? That background?
That location?Do you have a real connection with any of it? There’s always a story behind something you truly own your outfit, your expression, your pose, your location, your experience.
Photography captures identity, not just visuals. A.I places you in places you’ve never been, with clothes you don’t own, in moments that never happened all to give you an unrealistic reality.
Do not allow A.I make detach you from reality.
Do not let A.I detach you from real experiences. Real memories. Real stories. Real connection.
Photography is not just pictures it’s life documented.
